3. If necessary, revise and edit the response to yesterday's question. Use the resources from class today (peer evaluation, strategy explanation, and sentence starters) to assist you as needed. Remember that your response is a work in progress. If you are not satisfied, you will have the opportunity to rewrite! I will collect the chart, the responses to "The Big Question" and "Literary Elements" and your paragraph tomorrow.

1. Complete vocab p. 87-88, "Completing the Sentence".

2. Write a paragraph or two (typed, double-spaced, one page only) comparing the themes of the two literary works you read for class today. Focus on the technique used if necessary, and how the technique may have helped convey the themes of the writing. Make specific references to words, phrases, or sentences that helped to convey the theme.

Read p. 571 - create the chart described at the bottom of the page. Read the poem on p. 572 and the speech that goes from p. 573-579. Answer "The Big Question" and the "Literary Elements" questions on p. 580. Remember to respond in complete sentences and provide specific references to the text or other source.

Remember that you will be giving your presentations on Monday for the movie project. You should only have had to review your part before leaving school on Friday. Everything else should have been completed in school.

Also, your vocab review test for units 4-6 is scheduled for Wednesday. The practice test that you were assigned on Thursday is due on Tuesday. Don't leave it for Monday night to complete!

1. Complete your group-assigned task for this evening. By today, everything should have been finished except for the marketing and presentation planning.

2. Complete the first part of the vocabulary review activity - select 10 of the words you circled in red and create a matching activity for them with the definitions. Model it after the matching section on your vocabulary tests.
