1. Revise/edit your essay from class today, aiming for a 6 as a final score. Consider word choice, voice, sentence structure, organization, specific details, sensory descriptions, similes/metaphors, openings/closings, etc. as you revise. Show revisions on your draft, and then rewrite or type the copy that you will turn in tomorrow.

1. Read your partner's essay. Write a paragraph in response to the essay. The paragraph should (1) identify the score on a scale of 0-6 that the essay would earn, (2) explain in detail WHY the essay would earn that score, and (3) provide at least three specific things that the writer can do to increase his/her score to a 6. First period class - this was not assigned for you. We will complete in class tomorrow.

1. Complete "Choosing the Right Word" for unit 11 in vocab workbook. Unit 11 test will be on Friday, April 15th. If you will not be in school on that Friday, please see me to arrange to take the test before you leave.
2. Read pp. 242-256 and annotate for character motivation. (See today's class worksheet for explanation if you are confused.) Use the 3 Post-Its that you were given in class today.
